CLARKSTON

Based at Greenbank Garden, this term-time partnership nursery is open Monday to Friday 8-6 with flexible full or part-time places. Children spend most of each day outside in child-led free play, either in the base camp in the paddock or in the woodland walk. In the Paddock the children can play with the mud kitchen, sand, water or mud, sit by the campfire, play on the obstacle course, climb trees, sit on the tree stumps or under the beautiful sequoia spruce which is the dominant feature (along with the sound of children having fun) of this wildflower meadow. In the Woodland Walk the children can explore the best of nature’s offerings, playing in the dappled shade of the trees, finding conkers, and mushrooms, paddling in the stream, watching the animals (rabbits, squirrels, birds, cows, horses, dogs), climbing trees, making dens, trails and so much more.

INDOOR BASE

We do have an indoor base which is used at the start and end of the day. This warm and welcoming space provides opportunities for quiet indoor play with a story, or playing at the construction, literacy or messy areas. It is used in inclement weather to provide a warm place to change out of the inevitable wet clothes. For shelter when we are outside, we have various tarpaulins and an amazing tepee tent, although to be fair the children rarely stay in or under either for long. .

PARTNERSHIP NURSERY

We are a small nursery which means we get to know our children and parents well and are able to support both and are always available to help in anyway we can. Being a partnership nursery means that you can use your Local Authority funding with us, or split it between us and other partnership providers like childminder, private and L.A. providers.
